You can ask Orange Grove Social to delete your account and the personal information the client portal holds about you at any time. Here's exactly how it works.
How to request deletion
- Email hello@orangegrovesocial.com with the subject line “Data deletion request” from the email address on your portal account, or
- Message us in your client Slack channel, or
- Ask any member of the Orange Grove team, who will file the request for you.
Tell us whether you want your personal account deleted, or your business's entire portal account (which requires a request from the business owner or an authorized signer).
What happens next
- We confirm receipt within 2 business days and verify the request using the email on the account.
- Within 30 days we delete: your profile and sign-in identity, notification subscriptions, comments and requests you authored, files you uploaded, and any Google or Meta identifiers connected to you.
- We also remove you from our service providers' systems where the data lives (our database and file storage, email provider, and any AI processing logs, which expire on their own within 30 days).
- We send you a confirmation when it's done.
What we may keep, and why
- Invoices and payment records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 7 years). These carry your business's billing details, not your personal profile.
- Content Orange Grove created for your business under our agreement, which belongs to your business, unless the business owner asks for it to be removed too.
- Minimal records needed to resolve an ongoing dispute or comply with a legal obligation.
Disconnecting Meta and Google
You don't have to wait for us to cut off access:
- Meta: in Meta Business Settings, remove Orange Grove Social as a partner on your ad account, Page, or Instagram account. The portal loses access immediately. Ad performance data already collected is deleted with your account on request.
- Google: in your Google Account under Security → Third-party access, remove “OGS Portal”. This revokes sign-in; your portal account itself is deleted on request as above.
